Alcohol Use and Sexual Assault Prevention Toolkit
BEH conducted surveys, key informant interviews and focus groups to better understand the influencing behaviors of Maryland alcohol-serving establishments, their employees, and their college-aged patrons around sexual assault prevention strategies. BEH used these findings to inform and lead development of a ten-part, multi-media communications toolkit addressing each layer of the Social Ecological Model (SEM). The toolkit was distributed to Maryland sexual assault prevention coordinators for use when collaborating with alcohol-serving establishments and public safety officials.
